How to claim from Air France
Claim from Air France in writing first, through the claims form on its website, with your booking reference and boarding pass. Ask explicitly for compensation under EU261 (or UK261) as well as any refund or expenses.
For a Air France flight departing Spain, the enforcement body is AESA; for one departing the UK, the airline's ADR scheme or the CAA.
How much you can claim
A fixed amount per passenger based on flight distance, not ticket price. Flights from Spain and the rest of the EU follow EU261 (euros); flights from the UK follow UK261 (pounds). Sources: Your Europe, European Commission and UK Civil Aviation Authority.
